Detailed Schedule

Some details in the schedule will change before the event and there are some additions to make, but the overall plan here is accurate.

August 6 (Sunday)

School kick-off for participants and staff

Location: Memorial Union, Multicultural Greek Council Room: 4th Floor

We would like to get as many people as possible together on Sunday evening from about 7–8 p.m. at the Memorial Union on campus. During that time, we can:

  • Introduce participants to event staff
  • Outline curriculum for the week
  • Highlight certain logistical plans – building location, meal plan, etc.
  • Answer participant questions about the training
  • Facilitate participant networking by science domain

Attendance is optional, but as incentive, we will offer UW–Madison Babcock Hall ice cream to those who can make it.

Closing Dinner

  • Location: Union South (next to Computer Sciences), indoors/outdoors
  • Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m., or until people leave

We have scheduled a buffet dinner to wrap up the School. The buffet itself, and some tables, are inside. But if the weather is good, we will have easy access to outdoor space, too and we encourage everyone to head outside with their food.
