Detailed Schedule

Some details in the schedule will change before the event and there are some additions to make, but the overall plan here is accurate.

July 24 (Sunday)

Welcome social gathering for participants and staff

  • Location: Memorial Union (800 Langdon St). Facing the lake, go to the right along the path; near the Alumni Center, there is a concrete oval; we will meet there. This link may help get very close, but note that the satellite view is outdated.
  • Time: 7:00–8:00 p.m., or until people leave
  • Masks: Optional, assuming we can stay outdoors and a bit spaced out

From the hotel, it is about a one-mile walk to the Union. We suggest walking down State Street, which is a great place to hang out in general. Or consider taking a city bus for part of the trip; see the local transportation page.

The Union should be open, and so things like ice cream and beer will be available there.

Closing Dinner

  • Location: Union South (next to Computer Sciences), indoors/outdoors
  • Time: 6:30–8:00 p.m., or until people leave

We have scheduled a buffet dinner to wrap up the School. The buffet itself, and some tables, are inside. But if the weather is good, we will have easy access to outdoor space, too. For COVID safety, we encourage everyone to head outside with their food and to be careful when unmasked.
