Welcome to Soteria's Documentation

Soteria is a Container Registry for open science dedicated to advance three areas:

• Discoverability:

  • Make images easy-to-cite and generate reasonable metadata (such as funding agencies and grant #s) for creation of DOIs and archival.

• Visibility:

  • Communicate the contents of the container easily? This includes advertising the software discovered, such as the system RPMs and known vulnerabilities

• Traceability:

  • For security response, track what containers are used at which NSF resources.

Availability

Soteria will be available to any US-based researcher and their collaborators.

Technologies

• COmanage

  • Soteria uses an OSG instance of COmanage to track user eligibility and status, as well as administer several registration workflows.

• Harbor

  • Soteria uses an OSG instance of Harbor to manage the container repositories.

• ORCiD

  • Soteria uses ORCID iD's to identify each of our users and their work on Soteria.
