OSPool Boasts 48% Growth in Users

From 2024 to 2026, the OSPool saw a 48% increase in users, rising to 730 users in 2026 (last 12 months). The OSPool, a shared computing capacity available to researchers at U.S. academic institutions, has seen significant growth in numbers over the last two years.

A 56% increase in jobs completed was also observed, increasing from 185 million jobs in 2024 to 421 million in 2026.

OSDF files transferred rose from 221 million in 2025 to 462 million in 2026, representing a 52% increase in just one year.

Additionally, 2025-2026 saw 18 new institutions contributing to the OSPool and three new benefitting institutions, bringing the total number of contributing institutions up to 102 and benefitting institutions to 118.
